Today, deputies of the Committee on Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly and members of the Board of Trustees of the Public Foundation for the Support of Children on March 21 - on the eve of the national holiday Navruz - visited the Republican Children's Neuropsychiatric Hospital named after Gurbanov. A patient undergoing treatment here received a message from children.

At the meeting, the Children's Support Foundation presented 250 memorable gifts with various literature, sweets and textbooks.

The hospital has 250 beds and includes 10 wards, auxiliary and economic departments. Medical consultations, surgical and rehabilitation services from all regions of the country are provided here to children with perinatal pathology of the central nervous system, cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy and autism spectrum disorders. 

A noteworthy aspect is that there is a "Department for the rehabilitation of children with autism spectrum disorders", which is the only one in the republic and has a capacity of 30 places. About 4 thousand patients are treated at the hospital every year, and more than 20 thousand children receive consultations at the clinic.
