Representatives of the World Health Organization and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who are currently in our country, got acquainted with the work carried out in the country on early diagnosis and treatment of pediatric oncology.
In particular, members of the delegation visited the cargo logistics complex of airports in Uzbekistan, the vaccine warehouse of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety and Public Health, and also examined the processes of storage and transportation of oncological drugs based on the "cold chain".
International experts also visited the Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology and the Children's Cancer Hospice Taskin, where they got acquainted with the conditions created there, as well as with medical and psychological services provided to sick children.
The experts were accompanied by Deputy Minister of Health E. Basitkhanova and Deputy Executive Director of the Public Children's Support Fund B. Abdusamatova.
